- Recycle! Two locations available for your recyclables: in Hot Springs there is a 24 hours drop off recycling center on Valley street and in Garland County there is a recycling convenience center at Cedar Glades landfill at 1040 Cedar Glades Rd.
The Valley street drop off can take plastics type 1 and 2, aluminum cans, telephone books, corrugated cardboard, plastic bags, and newspapers. You may also drop off electronic waste and office white paper next door (through the gate on Runyon St.) from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm. City residents can also obtain free curbside recycling by calling 321-6911.
The Recycling Convenience Center for the County at the Cedar Glades Landfill is open from 7:00 am - 4:00 pm. This Center accepts for recycling: white office paper, newspaper, phone books, corrugated cardboard, aluminum cans, steel cans, and type 1 and 2 plastic bottles. -

.The members of the Yellow Pages industry very much enjoyed attending the recent Keep America Beautiful conference in New Orleans and getting to speak with so many of you about our industry's sustainability efforts and how we can help you achieve recycling and source reduction goals in your communities.
As a follow-up to the Yellow Pages opt-out session on Thursday afternoon, we committed to providing all conference attendees with a button to place on your web sites and in your newsletters making it easy for your members and constituents to opt-out of directory delivery.
The www.YellowPagesOptOut.com site is a key component of our industry's source reduction and consumer choice initiative. The site, developed in partnership between the Local Search Association and the Association of Directory Publishers, provides a convenient and secure option for residents to control the number of Yellow Pages telephone directories they receive or to stop directory delivery entirely. It is a completely free service for consumers and is provided at no charge to municipalities or organizations.
The Internet-based tool is specifically designed to prevent directories from being delivered to anyone who doesn't want one while ensuring that the majority of consumers who continue to rely upon and use the print Yellow Pages still receive them. Yellow Pages directories are an important advertising tool for small businesses whose success is critical to building strong local communities and economies. Information gathered through the site will not be sold to third parties and will be used solely to update publishers' delivery information.
Attached is a link that will enable you or your IT staff to easily place a hyperlink and graphic on your websites and in your newsletters. .
